Continual Work in Progress: The Building Maintenance Department worked diligently this year (and the latter part of 2008) on the following projects: Improvements to the Haddock Ball Field through the addition of Dug Out Tops and new men's and ladies' handicap accessible restrooms. They constructed a 30'x30' Tractor Shed at Public Works; Assisted with sod and irrigation at the courthouse, Carol's Park and the Government Center. The have continued working on the remodeling of the Fire Station on Highway 49 which has shared space with the Jones County Water Department. The building maintenance and construction department, located at the Government Center Building, serves the citizens of Jones County by providing cost efficient, professional construction, maintenance, and beautification services to all the facilities owned by Jones County.
